I have decided to join in on this blogging craze and start participating in the 5 Minute Friday, psots over at Lisa Jo Baker's website. It is a post that is written every Friday and is only 5 minutes long.
Today's post is on the topic: Graceful
I have always wanted to try out a few different sports than the ones I had participated in as a child. One of these sports being Ballet. I wanted to try ballet, not because I had long legs and the figure of a ballerina, but because of how graceful and easily the moved across the stage. I often found myself practicing basic ballet moves by myself in my room. Or when stretching. I just wanted to see if I could do it, even a little. I wanted to walk as a feather on my toes, and fly through the air with a single leap. I wanted to be as graceful as I could possibly be. I also wanted to stop tripping on my large feet. I wore a size 10 shoe, and it was not always easy to navigate my feet around objects, without stumbling and tripping. I do still want to be a ballerina, if even for a little. I want to be flexible and strong. I want the experience and the training and the concentration created by a strict regiment. I carve this and know that when all is said and done, I will be as graceful as those ballet dancers. As light and airy as they are and will truly know what it means to be graceful. (on a side note, I qould also like my daughter to stop sitting on my arm when I type).
